Klaviyo may use your information and share it with third parties and for purposes of promoting its services, communicating with you, to comply with legal requirements, and to protect its legal rights. Other Collected Information
Our Website may automatically collect information through the use of cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and other tracking technologies.
Account Activity
We may collect data about how you use (i) your online account, and (ii) the Website when you are logged into your account. This information may be tied to your account and Collected Information that is personally identifiable.
IP Addresses, Cookies, & Similar Tracking Technologies
When you use the Website, we and our Website vendors use technologies such as cookies (i.e., small pieces of data stored on your device’s hard drive by your browser), web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies to automatically collect information, such as IP addresses assigned to the computers and other devices you use, your internet service provider, device ID number, approximate geographic location, browser type, Website pages visited, websites you access before and after visiting the Website, and data related to how and when you use the Website (e.g., date and time stamps, clickstream data, and data about search terms and websites that direct you to the Website). We may combine this Collected Information with other Collected Information (including personal information) and data obtained from third parties.
We may use this information to administer our Website and its servers, to generate statistical information, to monitor and analyze Website traffic and usage patterns, to monitor and prevent fraud, to investigate complaints and violations of our policies, and to improve our Website’s content and the products, services, materials, and other content that we describe or make available through our Website.
The Website may use session, persistent, and flash cookies (local stored objects) to collect and store data about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on our Website. Session cookies are used to complete transactions and for other purposes such as counting visits to certain webpages. Session cookies are eliminated when you exit your browser. Persistent cookies may be stored on your computer by your browser. When you log in, persistent cookies tell us if you have visited the Website before or if you are a new visitor.
Flash cookies differ from browser cookies regarding the amount and types of data collected and how the data is stored. Cookie management tools provided by your browser will not remove and cannot manage Flash cookies. To learn about managing your Flash cookie settings, visit the Flash player settings page on Adobe’s website here.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can disable this function, but disabling cookies may impact your use and enjoyment of the Website.
Do Not Track Requests
Due to the automatic collection of data using cookies, we do not honor “do not track” requests.
Location Information
In addition to the approximate geographic location information collected as discussed above, we may collect more specific location information (e.g., zip code, city, or physical address) if you input that information while using the “Store Locator” functionality of the Website to find locations where you can buy our products and services.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect and process information about your use of the Website. Google sets cookies on your browser or device, and then your web browser will automatically send information to Google. Google uses this information to provide us with reports that we use to better understand and measure how users interact with our Website.
We may also implement additional add-on services to Google Analytics, such as Demographics and Interest Reporting, Remarketing with Google Analytics, and Google Display Network Impression Reporting.
To learn more about how Google uses data, visit Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s page on “How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.” You may download the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for each web browser you use, but this does not prevent the use of other analytics tools. To learn more about Google Analytics cookies, visit Google Analytics Cookie Usage on Websites.
Google Ads
We may use Google Ads to serve ads across various websites. Google uses Cookies to collect data about your visits to the Website to generate targeted advertisements to you on other websites that you visit. To opt-out of this type of advertising by Google, to customize your ad preferences, or to limit Google’s collection or use of such data, visit Google’s Safety Center and Google’s Ad Settings and follow Google’s personalized ad opt-out instructions. Opting out will not affect your use of the Website.
Advertising Networks, Personalized Advertising, Remarketing, and Retargeting
From time to time the Website may use or participate in advertising networks and related advertising services that are managed and provided by third-party advertising servers, advertising agencies, technology vendors, and research firms, including advertising retargeting services provided by Facebook (sometimes referred to as the Facebook “tracking pixel”) and Google Ad. These services collect anonymous information about your visits to and interactions with the Website and other websites and will use that information to target advertisements for goods and services. The information collected may be associated with your personal information. These targeted advertisements may appear on the Website or on other websites. Advertising networks often gather data about consumers who view advertisements to make inferences about a consumer’s interests and preferences, which enables their computers to deliver advertisements directly targeted to the consumer’s specific interests. This practice is often referred to as “online behavioral advertising.” For example, a third-party advertising network might collect the type of Internet browser you use, the type of computer operating system you use, the domain name of a website you visit, whether or not you visit specific pages of the Website and other websites, the location of your Internet service provider, the date and time of a visit to a website, and other interactions between you and a website.
If you have a Facebook account but do not wish Facebook to collect data relating to you via the Website, we suggest that you: (a) hide social media platform plug-ins using an ad blocker; (b) always log off completely from Facebook before visiting other websites and delete all related cookies; and, (c) where the option is available, disable the advertising services and networks operated by Facebook.
To change your preferences with respect to certain online ads and to obtain more information about third-party ad networks and online behavioral advertising, please visit the National Advertising Initiative Consumer opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance Self-Regulatory Program. Please remember that changing your settings with individual browsers or ad networks will not necessarily carry over to other browsers or ad networks. As a result, depending on the opt-outs you request, you may still see our ads from time to time.
Data From Other Sources
We may obtain data about individuals from various third-party companies and public sources. This may include information that you post on Social Media (defined below). We may combine that data with other Collected Information or otherwise use such data and information (which may include Social Media posts, images, and reviews). This enhances our existing data about our users (e.g., adding address data), improves our ability to contact you, and enhances our marketing capabilities.
Social Media
We are active on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (“Social Media”). Anything you post on Social Media is public information and will not be treated confidentially. We may post (or re-post) on the Website and our Social Media pages any comments or content that you post on our Social Media pages.
The Website allows you to connect and share data with Social Media. These features may require us to use cookies, plug-ins, and APIs provided by such Social Media to facilitate those communications and features. The Website may use advertising networks and services offered by Social Media to deliver advertising content. Use of these services requires Social Media to implement Cookies or pixel tags to deliver ads to you while you access the Website.
Your use of Social Media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the third parties that own and operate those websites and not by this Policy. We can’t control any policies or terms of such third-party platforms and as a result, we can’t be responsible for any use of your information or content by a third-party platform, which you use at your own risk. We encourage you to review the policies and terms of those platforms.
Videos; Embedded Content
The Website may contain videos and embedded content provided by YouTube, Vimeo and other third parties, including visible content and/or feeds scripts embedded in the Website’ code. YouTube, Vimeo and such third parties may collect data about how you interact with such content. Specifically, our use of YouTube content requires us to implement certain application programming interfaces (APIs) from YouTube, which allow for data collection, disclosure and use by YouTube pursuant to the Google Privacy Policy available here. In addition, if you are signed into your Vimeo account when you visit our Website, Vimeo may associate information collected when you visit our Website with your account. By watching the videos and interacting with such content, you agree to the collection and use of such data. You may revoke YouTube’s access to your data by visiting the Google security settings page available here. Please see Vimeo's privacy policy to learn how Vimeo collects, uses and shares personal information.
